Proxima Centauri System Probably Found 2nd Planet!

The closest star to our solar system is Proxima Centauri, which is only 4.2 light-years away from our solar system, where scientists have probably discovered the second planet named "Proxima c". A planet has already been discovered in the Proxima Centauri system, "Proxima B" - which is roughly the size of our Earth and may contain liquid water on the surface of that planet.

Proxima B rotates in the correct position of its host star, leading scientists to speculate that the planet may have liquid water on its surface. But there is considerable doubt as to whether the planet could be an alternative to Earth, as Proxima B is Tidally Locked with its host star. This means that the planet has no ecliptic motion of its own, always pointing towards the sun. For example, we can only see one face of the moon.

The problem with the Tidally Locked Planet is that since one of its faces is always facing the sun, the temperature on that side can be very high and on the other side, since it is always night, it can be very cold. Moreover, the radiation wind coming from the star can disrupt the front.

However, when it comes to livability, Proxima C will not even come close to its edge. According to scientists, the mass of the alien planet is at least 6 times that of Earth. Moreover, the planet is 1.5 Astronomical Units away from the host star Proxima Centauri. 1 Astronomical Unit is equal to the average distance of our Earth from the Sun or 93 million kilometers. But the problem is Proxima Centauri Nivunivu Star, also known as the Cold Red Dwarf, so the distance from Proxima Centauri to 1.5 Astronomical Units is far beyond the habitable zone.

According to scientists, the average temperature of Proxima C is -234 degrees Celsius, where it is impossible to live. Moreover, due to this long orbital distance, it was very difficult to find Proxima C, and the planet's pull towards the host star was very weak. According to telescope data obtained by scientists so far, if the Proxima C planet is real, many new paths of discovery could be opened!
